Who is KeyWay?

Dallas native, KeyWay, took the leap of faith in 2018 and began his DJ & music production career as a Freshman at the University of Houston. He started with a strong Hip-Hop/Pop base, DJ’ing events for University organizations, fraternities, and party promoters. His love for music grew as he began taking on bigger and bigger crowds.

During 2020, while the whole world was on pause, KeyWay utilized that time to hone in on his music production skills. Stuck in his university apartment alone, he began producing beats that garnered the attention of big name acts such as DaBaby, Monaleo, Kali, Babyface Ray, and Stunna 4 Vegas just to name a few.

Shortly after quarantine, KeyWay began building his name rapidly at his school, University of Houston, and neighboring the campuses TXSU & PVAMU. This then led him to link up with Budding rapper Monaleo in 2021, prior to her smash hit “Beatin’ Down Yo Block”. They developed a great friendship and soon after, KeyWay became her official DJ. Together they took on sum of the biggest stages in the world including Rolling Loud, Essence Magazine Music Festival, Pitchfork Music Festival, and an International 18 show Tour with rapper Flo Milli.
